The theme of our convention will explore aspects of Orff-Schulwerk through practice and theory with an emphasis on the body and multisensory approaches to teaching and learning.  The theme is a response to concerns that people are increasingly detached from direct sensory experiences in both their daily lives and their professional work. 

Artistic imagination, expression, meaning and communication are inspired, provoked,  experienced, remembered and nurtured by directly engaging the senses.

Keynotes, presentations, reports from associated schools and institutions and short sessions sharing practical activities will reflect the theme in various ways.
